GDCI E-Gallery Inaugural Exhibition
Mission Statement
GDCI E-Gallery’s mission is to put technology in the service of art and the creative economy in the Global South, while breaking limitations of distance, language and borders, and giving artists and artisans the opportunity to effectively engage in the global economy by showcasing and marketing their world-class creations internationally.
Vision Statement
Art lovers from across the globe will have had the chance to see, enjoy and possibly own a piece of art made by an artist from the global south, thereby getting a glimpse into the culture that helped forge the artists and their creations, and the life experiences that helped crystallize their talents. Geography, distance, language and differences will not be obstacles in the face of exchange of knowledge, equitable participation in the global economy, and new ways of forging understanding and respect, facilitated by a love of beauty and innovative technology.
