Amy is an American artist who has been living and working in Amman, Jordan for almost 20 years. Her artwork is mostly abstract, fluid and freeformed, filled with colors and life. Over the past several years she has been evolving a process that she calls "blind intuitive". The foundation for each piece created through this process starts out blindly; eyes closed. It is a quiet process where her lines, shapes and colors are internally guided by feelings, nudges and impulses. By initially removing her eyes from the equation, the judgements and preferences that come from seeing are removed and an inspired foundation is given birth. The subsequent layers, created with eyes open, are built up with traditional watercolors, inks, watercolor pens, crayons and paint pens.
